At last at last at last! It had been five long years since my last production’ Spinach', but I finally got the opportunity for a new show!

Performed on Sunday 26th January 2020 in Hasmonean Girls’ School, my brand new play certainly provided Time to L.A.U.G.H.! The cast, ladies from across northwest London and ranging in age from their 20s to their 70s, performed in both the afternoon and evening and drew an audience of over 700 women and girls across both shows, raising £10,000 for the Laniado Hospital, Netanya.
The script centred around the challenges faced by Jewish women today, depicting the funny side of struggles with family, friends and identity. We had hilarious musical numbers, a lively tap dance, and a special performance by the Ladies JLE Choir directed by Nancy Ziskind, with music specially written for the show by composer Jennifer Dean. And of course, lots and lots of jokes!
It was a fantastic day, a celebration of life and laughter! The feedback was overwhelming. ‘I haven’t laughed so much in ages,’ said one audience member, and another, ‘What an incredible entertaining and fun evening, a real tonic!’ These are just two examples from the many many wonderful messages of appreciation and enjoyment we received.
Let’s hope it’s not another five years until the next one!
